NoTrack Coder 2.9.23 — now on Linux

Oct 30, 2026·2 min read

NoTrack Coder 2.9.23 runs on Linux. The same agent you use on Windows is now a native Linux build — the exact same local-first, no-telemetry app, nothing sent to the cloud.

One file: the AppImage

The Linux build ships as a single x86_64 AppImage. It's self-contained — it carries its own launcher, icon and desktop entry, so there's no package manager, no repository to add and nothing to unpack.

  1. Download the .AppImage from the Linux download page.
  2. Make it executable — right-click → Properties → Allow executing file as program, or in a terminal: chmod +x NoTrackCoder-*-x86_64.AppImage.
  3. Double-click to run. That's it.

What you need

NoTrack Coder on Linux needs WebKitGTK 4.1, which ships with modern desktops — Ubuntu 24.04+, Fedora and recent GNOME distributions. If it's missing, the app tells you plainly instead of failing silently.

The same app, the same privacy

This isn't a cut-down port. It's the full NoTrack Coder — the agent, computer-use, sub-agents, cron and skills — running 100% on your machine. No telemetry, no code leaving your box. Point it at any OpenAI/Anthropic-compatible or local model, or use the built-in one.

Frequently asked questions

What's new in NoTrack Coder 2.9.23?

Linux support. The agent now has a native x86_64 Linux build, distributed as a single AppImage, alongside the existing Windows installer.

How do I run NoTrack Coder on Linux?

Download the .AppImage, make it executable (right-click → Properties → Allow executing file as program, or chmod +x), then double-click it. There's no separate installation step and no package manager involved.

What are the Linux system requirements?

A 64-bit x86_64 Linux system with WebKitGTK 4.1. That's already present on Ubuntu 24.04+, Fedora and recent GNOME-based distributions.

Is the Linux version the same as on Windows?

Yes. It's the same agent with the same privacy model — everything runs locally on your machine with no telemetry. Only the download format differs: an AppImage on Linux, an installer on Windows.
